Paralia Dionysiou is a great place to enjoy your holiday and a perfect starting point for touring Halkidiki, a popular tourist region with many resorts and lovely beaches. A drive around will bring you to beautiful places and remarkable archaeological sites.

If you like active holiday you can visit close historic and popular landmarks. Ancient Olynthos (16 km) and Petralona Cave with Anthropological Museum (18 km) can be reached within 25 minutes, while Ancient town of Stageira, the birthplace of Aristotle, is at distance of 85 km.

Make a day-trip to Sithonia or Kassandra by car, or to Taxiarchis and its beautiful nature to enjoy the unique view and good food. Explore Vergina and Mount Olympus on a full-day tour or visit Thessaloniki and discover the colours, history, attractions, and vibrant life of this great city.

Feel free to ask for cruises or other activities. We can arrange a Mount Athos sea cruise from the port of Ormos Panagias (50km) or picturesque village of Ouranoupolis (95 km). Sailing along the coastline face to face with spectacular Byzantine monasteries is a truly unique experience.

Nea Moudania represents cultural, financial and commerce center of the region. It is a lively town with a marine, promenade, parks, many stores, shops, pharmacies, taverns, restaurants, cafeterias, bars and night clubs, as well as banks, post office and health center.

Every Wednesday, the biggest outdoor market (Laiki agora) in Halkidiki takes place in Nea Moudania, where you can buy clothes, souvenirs and wide range of local products, vegetables, fruits, cheese, meat, fish, olives, wine, honey...

Visit the Fisheries museum with rare items of fishing equipment gathered from all over Greece and a big collection of exhibits that trace relationship between Man and the Sea. Discover more about the underwater communities and marine organisms.

Water sports center in Nea Moudania offers a wide range of water attractions and lessons from experienced trainers. You can also enjoy a game of tennis in a club near the beach, 3 km from our property (court reservation required in cafe bar Stones).

In summer nights you can visit the nearby village of Flogita (3 km from P. Dionysiou), with a vibrant nightlife and many night clubs.

Thessaloniki

For sightseeing, museums and shopping, Thessaloniki is 55 km from Dionisiou Beach.

It is the second largest city of Greece and the capital of Macedonia. This vibrant city of a special beauty and charm offers a rich cultural and historical heritage as well as a cosmopolitan café life.

As a modern European metropolis Thessaloniki is ideal for every museum and history lover. Visit Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Byzantine Culture, the White Tower, the Byzantine church of St. Dimitrios, The Old City (Ano Polis)...

The city's historic open markets, Modiano and Kapani, offer one of the most authentic experiences and a trip back to the past.

Tsimiski and Mitropoleos are the best shopping streets of Thessaloniki. There’s a huge variety of stores to satisfy everyone's preferences. Mediterranean Cosmos, the largest shopping mall in Thessaloniki, is 40 mins from Apartments Dimitra.

To find an after-shopping place for a break, head to Aristotelous Square, the beating heart of Thessaloniki. It is located on Nikis avenue (on the city's waterfront) in the city center. With a nice selection of cafés and restaurants, it boasts a beautiful view of the Thermaikos Gulf.

Take a walk along Nea Paralia, the new Thessaloniki beach frontline. The promenade is full of theme gardens and parks, playgrounds, and beautiful steel and glass buildings which host temporary exhibitions of art, architecture and music. It's ideal for jogging, biking or just relaxing on benches while listening to music or reading a book.
